Hello families! My name is Sheyla and I’m a 27-year-old au pair from Peru currently living in Los Angeles. I have over three years of childcare experience in Peru and the United States, including one year as a U.S. I really enjoy working with children and being part of their learning and everyday adventures.

I have experience caring for children of different ages, from infants and toddlers to preschoolers and school age children. I’m infant qualified and comfortable caring for multiple children, preparing meals and snacks, managing school and bedtime routines, organizing fun activities, and helping keep things running smoothly at home.

I enjoy arts and crafts, outdoor play, exploring new places, and finding creative ways to keep children engaged while helping them learn and develop!

As a caregiver, I would describe myself as responsible, loving, patient, caring, adaptable, and organized. I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident with the person caring for their children. I always aim to create a safe and nurturing environment where children feel supported and encouraged to be themselves. I also value open communication with parents and believe in respecting each family’s routines, parenting styles, and personal space.

Spanish is my first language, and I’m happy to incorporate Spanish into everyday activities if your family would enjoy raising bilingual children.

I am a non-smoker, comfortable with pets, experienced swimmer, a U.S.-experienced driver with a valid driver’s licence, and First Aid certified.

Outside of childcare, I enjoy being active, exploring new places, and learning about different cultures. I would love to find a family where I can build a trusting relationship, contribute to the children’s development, and become a positive part of their daily lives.
