I am writing to express my interest in the Caregiver position with your organisation. I am a compassionate, patient and responsible person with personal caregiving experience gained from caring for my late mother for one full year on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week, until she passed away.
During that time, I was dedicated to ensuring my mother’s comfort, safety and well-being. My responsibilities included providing daily personal assistance, preparing meals, helping with daily routines, offering emotional support, keeping her surroundings clean and comfortable, and being available whenever she needed care and attention.
Caring for my mother taught me the importance of patience, empathy, dignity and understanding when supporting someone who depends on another person. It also helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility, attentiveness and the ability to remain calm and supportive during challenging moments.
Although my experience was gained through caring for a family member, I take the responsibility of caregiving seriously. I am willing to learn, undertake any required training and follow the care plans and instructions provided by the employer or healthcare professionals.
