Hello Host Family!

My name is Felix, I am 25 years old and I come from Ghana. I am a friendly, responsible, patient, and hardworking person who enjoys spending time with family, helping others, and learning new things. I am looking for a welcoming host family in Germany where I can become part of the family, experience German culture, improve my language skills, and share my own Ghanaian culture with you.

Growing up, I learned to take responsibility for others from a young age. My mother raised us as a single parent, and as the older brother, I naturally became involved in taking care of my younger brother. I also spent time caring for my younger cousins and some of my younger brother’s friends who lived in our neighbourhood. I would keep them company, play with them, help them with simple activities, and make sure they were safe. These experiences taught me to be patient, responsible, attentive, and comfortable around younger children.

I really enjoy spending time with children and being active with them. I would be happy to play football, organize games, go for walks, help with homework, play outdoors, and participate in other age-appropriate activities. I understand that every child has a different personality and needs patience, attention, encouragement, and understanding.

I have also helped with my family’s business, which has taught me to be hardworking, organized, dependable, and respectful when dealing with other people. I am comfortable helping with household tasks such as cleaning, washing dishes, organizing, and keeping the home tidy.

I have a driver’s licence and driving experience, and I would be happy to help with family transportation if this is part of the agreed responsibilities and I am legally permitted and insured to drive.

In my free time, I enjoy football, exercising, travelling, and spending time with my family and friends. I am an active person and would especially enjoy sharing outdoor activities and sports with the children.

I am interested in becoming an au pair because I would like to experience everyday life in Germany, learn about a new culture, improve my German, meet new people, and grow personally through the experience. At the same time, I would be happy to introduce my host family to Ghanaian culture, food, traditions, music, and everyday life.

I understand that living with a host family requires respect, good communication, flexibility, cleanliness, and responsibility. I would respect your home, your privacy, and your family’s routines. If I am unsure about something, I would always communicate openly and ask rather than make assumptions.

I hope to find a family where we can build a good relationship based on trust, respect, and understanding. I would be happy to support your family, care for the children responsibly, help with reasonable household tasks, and become a positive part of your household.
